Default Trackbar Issue

I have a JKS front adjustable trackbar that has a jamnut that continues to come loose no matter how tight I make it. Anyone know why this is happening or does is this happening to anyone else? The same thing happens on my Rough Country front lower control arm jamnuts. What are the negative effects of thes loose jamnuts on the threads of the trackbar and control arms? Again everything was tightened pretty significantly when installed. Thanks

I have the same parts on mine with no loosening at all. Tap your wrench with a hammer after you get it tight, or use a longer wrench.

I was going to suggest more or less the same thing. A little blue loctight should keep from backing off but keep it relatively accessible if you need future adjustments.

I've used a stuff called Automotive Goop (think thats the name, not at my house right now) Never had a jamnut loosen with it, plus, you can peel it off if future adjustments need to be made.

Edit. Amazing automotive goop is the name.,

I use RED loctite. Do you want it to stay put or be easy to loosen?

I used this stuff to keep my front fender flares from flapping after they were trimmed. I've hit the passenger side heard enough to bend the support braket but the Goop held!! Very tough stuff.

Thanks guys the loctite was going to be my next step. I guess my question is can I do any damage to the trackbar itself seeing that I am putting a lot of pressure on the threads. Im assuming the jamnut is suppose to absorb most of that force. If my jamnut keeps coming loose can it be related to other issues?

The jamnut will keep your threaded part of the bar from flexing in the hollow theaded part of the bar. I would either locktight it or goop it. If it loosens after that, your internal threads may be damaged or partially stripped from running with it loose.
