Default Traction control is driving me nuts

I am about to start freakin ripping wires out of my Jeep if I cant find some solution to the stupidest safety feature I have ever seen. I can fly around a corner and nothing happens then the next time that damn traction control kicks in when Im going 15 mph and damn near makes me crash.. stupid. someone has got to hack this thing. I guess I can try the switch mod. Im not going to my dealer unless I absolutely have to. any new fixes out there?

Most will tell you that centering the wheel is the only fix out there. It worked for me, but I had to get it just perfect and even then it took a certain number of cycles before the lights went off.

Do you have an 07? The fuse to pull is j7, disables esp, abs. I did the toggle switch mod, think it's under forum user write ups.

Sorry you're having issues. I dont know the fix other than what I've read about centering the steering. I was just thinking though, that if you pulled the wires out, then with the cost of copper these days, you could sell it for a nice 12-pack....

Depending on how old your 07 is I think you can take it to the dealer have it flashed then there is a top secret double probation steering wheel code to disable it. Just search for the esp switch write up and I think it's in there. I did the switch and is probably the best (and safest) mod I've done today.

With a 3 inch lift make sure your front axle is PERFECTLY centered also. the steering wheel is not as important as most think...mine is about 5-10 degrees off to the right as been that way since DEC 06....i had the codes read when i had this problem in feb 07...the ESP BAS light and traction control light all came on as i drove STRAIGHT at 30 mph and nearly caused an accident. Went to the dealer and had the codes read......found it was an ALIGNMENT code....had everything put back into fac specs and lights out...... good luck
