Default Transfer Cases

I have a 2011 JK non-rubi, so i dont have the rubicrawler, I want a lower crawl ratio because the stock 2:1 is not that great. i am not interested in a rubicon transfer case since all the stock jeep (even the rubi) transfer cases are chain driven. I know that chains can and will break. I think I want one that is gear driven, but I dont know of any bolt in transfer cases for the JK. Anyone have any ideas?

You need to seriously think about making the change to a gear driven t-case. I would not trade my atlas 4 off for anything but I also don't drive my jk everyday. The atlas is very loud on the highway and you can hear the gears spinning. If you do a lot of highway driving it may be best to say with a rubi case. It's a decision for you to make, it doesn't bother mea bit, but I will tell you my wife hates listening to it on the highway.

Oh with the 4 speed you get 1-1 / 2.72-1 / 4.3-1 and 11.1-1 ratios. With the 2 speed you get 1-1 and 5ish to 1.

Also the 2 speed may be quieter but I'm not certain

Just edited my post. You get 2 ratios with the 2 speed and 4 with the 4 speed

thanks. I know gear driven cases are louder. It is not my daily driver and rider comfort is not my first priority (its a jeep). I barely get to drive it anyways since im at school most of the year.
