Default Transmission cooler bib issue

I I have a 70268 B&M cooler that I am installing. I have it all done but the bibs leak. Here is what mine look like...

It leaks out of the threaded section. I screw them together, tighten down, attach clamps and leak. My question is...why is it doing that? The threaded section is flaired so it shouldn't. I am stumped.

What am I doing wrong? Do I just need one piece bibs? These are what came with my kit but that doesn't mean it is the right parts. Lol.

Let me know ASAP please.
Thanks

I suspect the parts are not designed to be threaded together. It looks like there is no surface for them to seal with each other.

They may be included in the kit to screw onto the cooler; which fitting to use depending on whether the cooler has male or female threads.

That is what I am thinking. Just seems a bit odd as one is flaired an the other does have a lip inside. Wife just got home so making a run to parts store. Lol.

Go to home depot and buy a pair of new barbs, that's what used.

Yeap, picked up a few replacements and got it all buttoned up. Should be good now.
