trek top glide
hello, merry Christmas and happy new year, looking for some decision help on the bestop trek top glide, should I go twill or black diamond ? $300 difference, is the twill worth it ? this will be going on a 12 2 door, thanks in advance
I thought there was a little more difference in price than that. Either way, my top is going on 7 years old now and still looks good but I know I'll have to think about tops in the future. The glide does look very intriguing and honestly I don't know what I would choose. I've been happy with the factory black diamond, but the twill looks top notch. Whichever you choose it'll work out good, just be sure to report back on how you like the "glide".
I have the Bestop Super NX in Twill. Now I know it isn't the Trek Top but I feel that the fabric is the main subject here.
I went with twill because it is thicker which helps with wear and tear, insulation, sound dampening, and overal look quality. After having it on during our typical southern summer and the beginning of our cold windy winter, I am glad I got the twill. I have quite a few friends that have their black diamond/sail cloth tops and you can just feel and hear the differences. If the difference is only $300, I would go for the twill without thinking twice about it, install will be the same and I highly suggest doing it in a warm area to allow for the top to swell or stretch out because it is thick and a bear to close up initially. One last thing, when you do install the top, be super mindful and careful when you initally zip up the windows as the top is really tight and the zipper will snap off if you man handle it.
I hope this was helpful.

How is the Glide working out for you? I've been doing some research and it looks like there were a bunch of issues with the tops that were sent out in the first 6 months after release. I have read that is appears that bestop has redesigned some of the problem areas. Just curious how you are liking yours.
