Default Trektop NX

Tried to install the Trektop today and noticed that the header piece was damaged upon arrival. Just looks like a little chip. Do you all think this is worth getting a replacement?

The picture is the front corners of the top. One side is what it's suppose to look like. One with the chip.

Also, how hot does it have to be to install this think. I can't get everything latched, zipped and/or buckled and I let it back in the sun at 80 for 5 hours!

yeah, that's a tough one. any air/water leaks you'll have will come from this area and i might be inclined to get a replacement.

Send it back... It's not what you paid for. You paid for a product without any defects.

All ready got my hardtop in storage and installed this top, well it's mostly installed pending how warm it is tomorrow. Looks pretty sharp.

I've emailed northridge, I hear they are good to deal with. Hopefully they will send me a replacement I can swap out and then i can send the broken one back. It's functional for now, but I do want it to be flawless. I also don't feel like taking everything back off, and going to get my hardtop, which is 250 miles away at my folks house. .

I don't think you wanna use it, put wear on it, and then find out it failed early due to the damage. I think you're better off exchanging it before there's room for doubt that it arrived that way. Plus, I'd think of it this way: you waited this long to get it. Wait a little more for one that isn't damaged.

Northridge/Bestop hooked me up. The new top they sent me arrived in one day, and took < 20 minutes to install. I must have just gotten the runt top of the little. Very satisfied now.
