Default Trektop NX

Im considering a trektop nx for my 13 JK Unlimited 4 door. Ive never seen one in person. Can someone give me how the back of the top works. Do i have to open it in order for my rear gate to open? With my hard top, i usually just open my gate and not the glass to haul golf clubs and things like that. Does the trektop nx work the same? Thanks for any help. This is my first jeep, so im still learning.

You do not have to mess with the top in order to open the tailgate. And the windows are easy to take on and off after u do it a few times. You can also run the bestop duster cover for when u take the windows off. I love my trektop nx

Do you have a tailgate bar? Not sure if they come with the top but you will not have one stock if you only have the factory hardtop.

Thanks! Not at all. I go back and forth between my trektop and my hardtop and you'll be able to use tailgate the same way. And I find it is way easier to look out the back with the trektop than with my hardtop

They come with one but the factory tailgate bar is way easier to use and I would definitely recommend trying to get one over the one that comes with it

Thanks guys... I think I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Trek Top as well. Read alot of good things about them as long as you put them on the first time when it is sunny and warm outside. Also should note that you do have to make a couple of small cuts in your stock roll bar covers during the install. Haven't heard of that being a deal breaker for anyone though.

Any thoughts on storage of the windows while they are out to keep them from curling up or getting scratched? I figure there have got to be alot of creative ideas out there.
