Default Trektop NX Owners come in!

I recently got my Trektop NX put on my 12 JKU and love it! I only have one complaint though. The support arch that goes up front is incredibly annoying when I have the top folded back. It seems super sturdy and I'm thinking I don't even need the arch in there.

Has anybody removed theirs? Any issues with water pooling up when it rains? Also, how many people run theirs year round during the snowy seasons?

Just got mine a few months ago. I'm going to be putting the hard top back on for the winter just because I have it! I agree the support bar is annoying but I bet water would pool once the top fully stretches.

I've still got my hard top as well but am considering selling it just because that's money to be used for other mods. Maybe I'll pull the arch and slowly pour water over the top to see what happens with any pooling. Hopefully somebody else can chime in.

Pull it, leave it in the jeep, and see what happens. I'm curious to know for myself for my 2 door.

I dont have the NX version, but i do have the Trektop classic...same thing other then the zip off windows which i wish i had.

we didnt use the bow in ours. And it does pool water. Id say brand new or even for a couple years it may not do this, but mine did eventually pool a little water. Not a lot at all, but it did some.

I have the NX on my 2dr. Without the bow in it, at the right speed on the highway (with the windows rolled down) the top will flap. I would also assume water would pool as well.

I'm going to pull it off on Wednesday. We got a heavy rain last night and I got in the Jeep and noticed the top wasn't even resting on the bow. There was a good inch or so gap between the two. I'll lay it in the back and drive it for a while and see how it works out.
