Default Trektop Removal

I'm going to be buying a soft top for 2dr with my tax return and am wondering how hard it is to take the trektop on and off the jeep. I love the open air feel, but NY summer weather normally doesn't allow for long streches of topless weather so I don't want it to be an ordeal to take on and off every time. If its that much trouble, i'll buy the supertop, but if i can save the cash and get a trektop, i can order more toys.

I bought my Trektop shortly after they came out and I really enjoy mine. I'd say it takes me about 10min to take the top off and I have the 4 door JK. I would imagine the 2 door would be a little easier.

That's not bad. Is it about 10 minutes or so to put it back on?

Did it come with the door surrounds? I have a hard top on now and I noticed that this top requires door surrounds

It takes a few minutes more to put it back up/on... You have to be more careful refitting it. Like anything else, taking it apart is always easier than reassembling it.

In addition, if the temperature drops below 75 degrees, getting it to stretch will become a knuckle buster. Don't wait until it gets cold to put it back up, or you'll regret it immediately.

Ugh, Sounds like it may not be worth the hassle then. The Supertop looks much easier to put up and down.

Just wait for the new trektop NX it will be more like a factory fit. I want to sell my old trektop and get the new NX when it comes out.

I say yes to the supertop (or buy a sunrider softop). The Trektop is nice if you are taking it on and off on a warm day, but a pain when it's cold.
