I got mine in today, haven't seen it yet since I am offshore right now and not going in until next Wednesday, and I have a question. Like I said, I work offshore and my Jeep sits at a heliport that is unguarded overnight for 14 to 21 days at a time. I will be installing a CB in it and I want to make it a total bitch for someone to run off with it, (I know I can't stop a pro 100%, but I can make it harder for him). The only issue I am seeing is the (4) bolts that mount to the console on the front windsheild to the speaker rollbar. The bolts that come with it are 1/2". I am thinking about getting (4) of the Factor 55 winch lock bolts from Northridge, finding a SS nut and tacking the nuts to the metal that the mounting brackets mount too. The Factors are 3/8", so all I would have to do is put washers & lock washers to keep the bolt head from sinking into the bolt hole on the mounting bracket. I really don't feel like taking my CB offshore with me when I leave the Jeep at the heliport, so this is one option I am looking at. Does anyone know of anything else I can do besides what I have planned? Other locking bolts that I would not have to weld to my metal? Any suggestions will be appreciated....

 

Does anyone know the overhead console will work with a sPod?
