2.5" or 3" lift help.
Pulling the trigger on getting a lift in the next couple of weeks. Just trying to figure out which I should get. 08 JKU and daily driver. I have been looking at TF specifically the 3". But I'm limited to about $1200 right now. I already have wheels (4.5 BS). I didn't want to do anything with driveshafts yet, nor have the money right now. I have a heavy front bumper with steel cable. I wanted to maintain the level stance (currently have Rubicon springs and shocks). Any suggestions on what I should do, or have to do? I have pondered the idea of getting synthetic line for the winch to help maintain front rake as I have it now.
Thanks for the help in advance

What's the largest tire size you eventually want to run? That should determine you lift height. Plus, are you going to be doing some hard wheeling, or only street?
For 35's, if you want to wheel it, you'll generally want 3-3.5". For 33's, 2.5" is plenty.
I have 4" of lift with 35's, but will eventually get 37's.

I myself love teraflex i to have an 08jku with 2.5 coil lift with 34" toyo mt. Stay with that or you will need drive shafts. I myself went and added 1"spacers because of the added weight of the winch and bumper front and the tire on the rear with the carrier. I did have to add the control arm brackets for the front but the Jeep drives great one thing about Teraflex you can always add to their kids good luck
I too would talk to Dave at Northridge. He is very helpful and will actually explain things instead of trying to get a quick sale. I personally like Rock Krawler. Northridge offers lots of their stuff too. Im not a huge fan over Teraflex (personal choice), I know many people run their stuff and are pleased. I would just talk to Dave, he is very honest and will at the very least get you pointed in the right direction.
