This is one reason I won't buy from Tuffy, I hear too often people having rattling problems with their products. They evidently make product that work as advertised as far as keeping your belonging safe, but I find their products a bit crude as far as engineering design.

I wrapped the lock post with electrical tape and the rattling stopped on mine. It was pretty bad before that.

It seems better if I have a lot of stuff in the box. The weight seemed to help. Now with the wrap it is very quiet.

Wellll... the stuff is made of metal as opposed to plastic.

I understand that much...LOL But how hard would it be to coat with material such as silicone, plastic etc... to get rid of the rattle problem. Not to say there are plenty of things made of metals that don't rattle, and that's because they are properly fitted. Again, smart product but poor engineering IMO.

I have to disagree, the reason they work so well is the fact they are so well engineered, they are designed to protect your stuff, not make your car sound quiet. Plus, adding in some type of liner would up the price, a lower price point that allows someone to make that choice on their own is more appealing. I love my radio console protector.
