Default Tune performance for JK 3.8L, suggestion please !!

Hello !!

Would like to know your opinion on what to do to tune a Jk with 3.8L.. Before to jump to expensive solution as RIPP Supercharger or swap for a V8, let's talk about somes littles mods.

I have a 2011 jk unl. on 35" tire with stock 3.73 gear.
I plan to regear soon to 4.88 or 4.56, and maybe run 37" in couple year, so I would like to tune my JK to have a good torque respone and performance on trail and road

I alreday have in place have rugged ridge CAI and mbrp Exhaust line and throttle body spacer.
So what do you suggest me to add ? Since my jk is a 2011 I have to forget SuperChips flashpaq :/ as tuner, but which one is equivalent or better ..? DiabloSport Trinity..?
What a about Spring booster ?

Let me know what would you do or have you done to tune your jk please !! And also maybe what to avoid !!

Thanks

Didn't see you specify auto or manual. I have an auto 2011 with 4.88 gears I would not go any higher kinda wish I had gone lower maybe 5.13.

Sprint boosters are not worth it to me read the fine print it's advantage is it mashes the gas harder. If you press it half way it would push it 3/4. Not exact numbers but that's an example. It does not increase 0-60 or hp. Why spend that much when a programmer is available.

There isn't a lot of data to support one programmer over another. The best thing to do is buy from a respectful company that supports there product. Bully dog, super chips they are all worth the cost. Buy one that has the features you need. If you still have warranty like me I would wait.

Ok cool with a manual 4.56 or 4.88 would be a great improvement. 4.88 may be to low for 35s but 37s it would be nice.

Superchips does tune 2011's and has for awhile now just to clarify one of your comments, but look at what you want and go from there, I'm using the sc tow tune and it works great, not forced induction or v8 power but a slight increase. Definetly regear before forced induction you will want it and may not want to supercharge.

I would not do anything until you re-gear, you will find that will give you a big boost in performance.

X2 on regear. although a moderate expense, it gave me the best performance gain for my 3.8 before i went supercharger. Its actually recommended before you go with a RIPP kit.

This is a great question and deserves an honest answer .... We have seen and tried every combination for NA power on the market (almost). If we haven't tried it in house our extensive dealer network has as well... The best we've seen out of an NA 3.8 is 180rwhp and 200ft/lbs of torque.

$1599.95 RIPP Long Tube header
$299.95 CAI Of choice
$399.95 Cat Back Exhaust
$1000.00 4:88 Gears
$350.00 RIPP Custom NA Tune via Diablo Sport
$150.00 8MM Wires
$35.00 NGK Spark Plugs
$150.00 Viper TB
$3984.85

The net gain is 60hp which is $66.41 per HP

The supercharger delivers 120 Rear Wheel HP AND 100FT/LBS of trq in one mod in one sitting $44.19 Per HP and you gain MPG (Plus looks cool... just saying)
