Towing capacity is such a relative term...with the mods made this vehicle's capacity for towing is way beyond any factory recommendations and I can prove it

Insurance would disagree if something unfortunate happened.

I didn't know turbos improved braking abilities My d30 could run 40's too, doesn't mean that it's a good idea..

I agree with you. The Jeep weighs less than the car and trailer. In optimal conditions, the Jeep has the capacity to tow that, but at some point the trailer will start trying to drive the Jeep. There is a reason for tow ratings and that is definitely more than the Jeep should be towing. Can it be towed? Yes. Is it smart? No.

Back on topic, I like the OPs turbo install. Definitely looking forward to more videos.

So let me ask you a question I have a 74 chevy stepside 2 wd truck with a 350. Would you tow that trailer with my truck? Now having asked that know that up til the new 5.3l they chevy 350 had less than 200 hp. Now next the transmission, modern transmissions are way more stout and effective than old ones (turbo 400 excluded) our fully boxed frames, light year ahead of the c channel frame. Weight? My stepside weighs 3150lbs, close to a 2 door jk no and way less than a 4 door jk. Brakes? Jk 4 wheel disc my truck 2 disc 2 drums. See my point? No one would question towing 6-8000 lbs with a older truck even though our jk are way stronger and weigh the same if not more

Differences: axle size, suspension type, wheelbase, track width. That's a lot of variable that reduce the physics applied to the JK tires.

Main goal of towing capacity is to stop and turn safely. Second goal is to pull up a hill without destroying vehicle. Jk is limited by #1, truck by #2.

And its 200up, but like 350-400 tq. The tq matters in towing which generally has trouble starting out. Hence why all large trucks rub diesel engines, with 300hp and 1000+ tq.
