Default Turning the back into a bed?

Has anybody come up with something for when you have all the seats down in your unlmited to cover up the holes where the seats go down and to make it a soft feel throughout ive slept in the back of mine on a number of occasions and would love to do something to the back that could be easily done and keep it there all the time when seats are up or down plus something to put at the windows also for the heat?? All kind of suggestions are coool!!

Thanks again guys

i would think just a large fabric for the bed part, maybe an air mattress that you can fix onto the seats and floor with the fabric over it that way you dont have to worry about it with stuff on top of it....that would be sweet, then when you put the seats down you just blow up the mattress and there is a comfy bed, i have slept in the back of a two door before and all i did was take out the back seats and put some bags to make it a bit softer, i dont know if any of this will help but just my two cents.

Would a couple of those swim noodles work? I haven't tried it, but it looks like they might fit in there.

Interesting thread...looks like perfect size for a bed. You could probably engineer something where a large piece of fabric runs the length of the seats and is attached or sewn to the back of the seats and is anchored to the floor in the cargo area bellow the back of the seats...In the middle of the fabric could be a long cylindrical roll of stuffed fabric (kinda like a bean bag chair only in roll form lol) When the seats are folded flat it would pull the fabric taught and position the bean bag roll into the gap between the seats and floor board. Then you can strap or velcro pillows to the top of the back of the seats so when its folded down they are in prime sleeping position. Haha.

ANYONE FOLLOWING ME HERE??? HAHA

Kilby enterprises has exactly what you are looking for to cover the holes in the floor.

I looked at Kilby since I am also interested in something to go back there. I don't think that's what he is looking for though. The Kilby product is used when the seats are completely removed. Unless I couldn't find the product you were talking about.

Go to a Museum and ask to see the art packer. Museum's use a lot of foam (all densities) for packing art work. A dense piece of foam can be cut easily to fit in the gaps when the back seats are folded down. Then when you need to put the seats up, just remove the foam. The foam I am describing does not flake or tear easily. If you want to see a picture of the foam let me know.

I use a hiking airpad, Big Agnes Air Core to be exact. PITA to blow up though.

Default Do Smurfs Drive Jeeps?

At only 6ft I'd have to sleep with my knees bent up

Edit: I'd love the option of sleeping in the back of the Unlimited but it would be pretty tight. I'm also curious as to peoples solutions for that cavernous hole behind the seats when they are down. Do you taller people sleep with the tailgate open?
