ah ok was told that the rubi didn't have the same design flaw in the u-joints. anyways so was this tech on crack or what with the water damaging the u-joints? i mean he said it with a straight face but come on i just can't beleave the are designed so poorly that water will screw them up in under 14k miles

why not use a full circle clip, rather than the c clip? might have to machine a little though.

He's a total idiot....has nothing to do with it. It's simply a crappy design.

I never took any pictures of mine (use to tack them on my TJ before I went to 1-Tons) But I found this pic on Pirate for you, its done just like I used to do where I tacked the caps in 3 places:



Saw this too on a 60 where someone actually TIG'd almost the whole cap, they said it was holding up. If you know someone who can TIG this would work without getting too hot to melt the bearings/grease out.
