Default Under Dash Woes

Got a 2012 Unlimited Rubicon a few days ago, wholesale. Long story short, I've spent the last few hours disassembling the dash and ripping out "audio" wiring... and I'll spend a lot more soldering to get it sorted out.

So, while I'm spending some time in the dash getting it cleaned up, what should I do while I've got it all ripped apart? I'd rather get it done now then deal with it later.

Thanks

You could pull 12V switched power off the cig lighter.. check for a clockspring recall.. check the heater core and vent flaps are all working.. fish some string through the firewall for easier access later?

When you say ripping out audio wiring are you talking about a hack job a previous installer did or factory?

If factory guess it’s too late to suggest getting a Metra wiring kit to mate up with the factory plugs.

Leave a note under the dash for the next owner that says "Too late sucker! I beat you to the treasure!"
