upgrades
It's all about what your needs are and only you can define that for yourself.
Best advice has already been given, but I will reiterate: Keep it stock and take it hunting/camping. Join a local jeep club, even if its only on Facebook at first. There are people in your area doing exactly what you want to do and more. They will have the best advice for local shops, where to buy certain products, and how to keep your jeep street legal. Plus, you will meet friends to wheel with, people to buy parts from and so on.
By leaving it stock when you wheel the first couple times, most likely you will find things right off the bat you wish you had. Storage space would be a priority for a hunter/camper so check out the Overlander threads. Those priorities would be different than the rock crawlers you will meet, but their advice as to what works and what doesn't should still be of value to you.
In the end, its your jeep. You can lift it as high as you want and roll on the biggest tires, just be safe about doing so and we'll support it! Also, read as much as possible before jumping the gun. Buy nice or buy twice. See ya on the trail!
