Default Upgrading to 37's, What is needed?

Looks like I could be headed for 37's this spring but I wanna make sure I have everything prepare and the costs figured out before I go for it. So far these are my plans:

- EVO C-gussets 125$
- Rock-Slide Engineering (mt.logan) outer axle sleeves 200$
- new 17" rugged ridge wheels + toyo 37's 3200ish$
- regear 5.13's 1500$
- Bushwacker flat fenders 500$

Is there anything else that I need to add to this list? I'm wondering about a new rear driveshaft? I have about 3.5" lift on my 2dr but have been fine for a long time with my stock shafts...will the 37's kill my rear drive shaft for sure? how bout the front? If so that will add the cost of a driveshaft + rear UCA's (another 1000$)

thanks!

forget the outter sleeves and get some chromoly axle shafts. you can drive around just fine with a bent axle tube (unlikely to happen - trust me) but, you'll be left high and dry with a broken axle shaft.

what kills the driveshafts is the increased angle of the CV's with taller lifts. eventually it would be nice to change out the driveshafts but in your case, it might be one of those things that can wait.

Chromo shafts first, then regear with a 6spd you will be fine while saving up for a regear. I have had no problems for the last 3 month with the 37s.

Nice thread I'm looking at doing the same thing in feb or march, so I'm going to steal some of ur ideas. I'm fairly light on the throttle with my crawling, how well will the axle shafts hold up before I can get the chromoly, and which first front or rear (or which ever breaks first) Ill be running the 37 ssr which is fairly heavy

i would guess upgrading the front shafts would be best first, I may do that. I'm really light on the throttle as well. Maybe I will do front CM shafts instead of the axle sleeves.

Now I've got to find an even harder trail in Chertsey for you!

Thinking of the same move once my KM2s 35s are worn (which doesn't seem like anytime soon). Considering much the same build as you, other than RCV shafts and EVO inner sleeves. I've got a D30 with ARB locker and 4.88s so will also be keeping to both the lighter KM2s and a lighter foot on the gas pedal.

Keep us posted and see you on the trails in Spring
