Are used Flashpaq's okay?

I see a few used programmer mods for sale. Does anyone have any warnings or suggestions with buying a used one? Thanks!

Buy from someone local, not online.

If it is still VIN locked to someone else's vehicle, you will need to give it back to them to completely uninstall, or get in touch with the folks at superchips. The last I read, they charge about $100 to unlock them.
