Default Using Wheel Spacers to Offset Tire Tracking

Has anyone ever installed 1 wheel spacer on each side of your JK to offset how the tire tracks? I was thinking this could be useful in mud to get a little more traction.

Cheers

I can't give you a "technical" reason why that would be bad, but to me that just doesn't sound like a good idea. Not to mention the look? I don't know man it just sounds like a bad idea.
