Vacum Pump Relocation Install Question???

Vacum Pump Relocation Install Question???
I am moving my vacum pump and Is this just a breather hose. The other end connects to the pump and this wasn't connected to anything is it supposed to be.

Nevermind I found out that it wasn't originally connected to anything.
Another Question though I have moved the vacuum pump but is their a way to check and make sure the pump is working right.
