I have the tan vinyl seats in my JK, ordered it that way on purpose. They look great, the salesman actually thought they were leather. I've had mine for just over a year and no signs of wear or cracking at all. Easy to clean too as others have pointed out. Vinyl seats are one of the most under appreciated options on this JK in my opinion.

Still got my 07 vinyl seats. They've seen a few summers of top-down sun action and still look brand new. Can't say the same of the few 07 Rubicon leather seats I've seen. The clean up with a damp rag.

Only downside is, like leather, they get hot as hell in the summer.

Even better, its not an option, its standard on the base model X. And only available on the base model and not available on the S PKG X.

A lot of dealerships put leather seats in them. Most use the Mopar Katskin leather seat covers.

I have them and love them. When they crack, whenever that may be, I will go with the Wet Okole seat covers. Thats what I did in the YJ.

Default Love my Vinyl!

i bought mine with Vinyl for a reason. i knew they would crack in time. but like everyone says it's a jeep. it's made to get dirty. if your worried about cracking. get seat covers. i'm still going to get seat covers just because of the wife. she complains about how hot they get. oh well. but in all seriousness. not everyone likes vinyl. it will ware faster than fabrick. but it sure does make hoseing out the Jeep easy.

I put vinyl seatcovers on my cloth seats. They work great, and unlike some older seats, they don't get uncomfortably hot even in the direct sun. I think having the gray in the center instead of the black helps, as it is the seating surface.
