Vortech SC kit in UAE
Just visiting the local Jeep site and noticed they're going to be selling a kit using the Vortech V2 SC unichicp, intercooler etc..
How are these Vortech superchargers? How do they compare to the Hesco?

The Vortech is a nice unit, depends which head unit they are using, probably an Strim, more reliable than the Rotrex that Hesco uses, but on a 6, it still wont get into boost until 2k or more, and won't see peak boost until 3.5k.
I would love a twin screw set-up myself.

Centrifugal will probably be good for me then as when I'm in the dunes the revs stay quite high (unless I'm stupid enough to get stuck)
Anyone from Dubai on this forum know more about availability? can't seem to get onto the UAE jeep forum.

Just like others have said, it would seem worthless to me to put one on a Jeep because it didn't ramp up in my Mustang until about 2000 + RPM's, we need low end. That's also why the Hypertech programmer doesn't make much sense to me. I don't need 11 horsepower at 4300 RPM. I bet that I've only reved my JK up only a couple of times in 10 months anyway. I usually shift before 4K, but that's just me.

That's not true. I had a Mustang with a Vortech and taping the oil pan was very easy. Mounting the blower was probably the hardest , and by hardest, I mean most time consuming, of the steps. None of it was really that hard, just took some time.

What about the extra 24 FT LBs at 1800 RPM that the Hypertech tuning gives you? Also you have to remember that people buy programmers for more than just HP & TQ gains. The Max Energy also can compensate for gear and tire size changes in addition to its other tuning features.

I was waiting for Hypertech to come out with Max Energy without any issues and actually work. I have NOT seen a single person happy with Hypertec.
So WHEN is your ACTUAL product coming out in the market which actually works and really worth for the bucks.
