Default wanting to add a/c.. how hard could it be?

its been crazy muggy and raining most of the summer where i am so i cant put the top down but i have the basic package with no a/c. it just blows in outdoor temperature air so i was thinking about buying the a/c unit instead of investing in a new jk. i would really like a rubicon though... do you guys think its actually gonna be that difficult? also, i wanted lockers and all those goodies in the near future too. would it be more cost effective to just get a rubicon?

You can get everything you need to add A/C at Home Depot or Lowe's.

I'd imagine you need to reflash or reprogram your pcm for it. You need everything, brackets, compressor, high lines, low lines, evaporator, condenser, new HVAC box behind the dash, new a/c control panel. I would say you could easily rack up $2,000-$3,000 in parts and not even have it installed yet.

Yes, it will be "that difficult" if you are going for factory. You can try to retrofit some muscle car add-on setup...but no real room for that inside.

Buy a new Jeep is my recommendation.
