Default Warn M8000 or Superwinch 9.0EPi?

I am ordering a winch this week and am trying to decide between these two.

Which would you suggest for use with my Unlimited and why?

Thanks for the help.

The superwinch has a faster line speed, but Warn is Warn. They stand by their product and even their cheap M8000 has a better name behind it.

Also, something to consider - nearly every aftermarket bumper will accomodate an M8000. The superwinch, however, is not always accounted for. For example - my shrockworks bumper will not accept the superwinch. This is part of being a Warn - the brand makes it compatible with nearly every bumper out there.

I ordered the LoD Mid Width and they said that they will drill it in case I do use the Superwinch. Still up in the air about the winch.

I've seen a m8000 pull a fullsize blazer that was stuck up to it's frame in mud. I think with that winch and synthetic line you have a pretty awesome combo. That's what I run with. And you have the lifetime warrenty!

I have the Warn M8000, but if it had not been for the fact that the Superwinch didn't fit well in my front bumper, I would have ended up with an EPi 9.0, The unlimiteds are heavy and the superwinch is rated at 1000 lbs more. In addition, there were some other engineering benefits, such as the external brake location.

They are both good, though, but part of me wishes I had gotten something heavier. On the bright side, I got my M8000 on sale for $500 shipped, so if I decided to get something else I wouldn't lose too much.
