Default Warning Light question

I just lifted my jeep over the weekend as was out driving it around this afternoon when the tire warning light came on. I checked everythting and it seems all right. Does anyone know why this came on? And, what do i need to do to fix it?

Thanks
Matthew

maybe your TPMS sensors got pulled out or something when you lifted? Did you change tires or just lift?

Which light is coming on esp bas , tire light , check engine light

the esp bas light is common after a lift you have to get the steering wheel straight to fix it here is a write up from wayoflife to do it yourself

http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up

tire light there is other write ups for it if you change your wheels out and did not reuse the tpms

check engine light should not come on if its that light take it to the dealer

The light that came is the tire light. It came on about 30 minutes after I started driving it with the new tires on it.

Yes I did put new rims and tires on the Jeep as well. I check the pressure on the tires this morning and they were at 50#. So I lowered them to 40# and it did not go off.

first check your pressures. I am willing to bet the light came on cause the system "sensed" that the wheels where removed at one point from the vehicle. Since you installed new rims and tires, I am willing to bet this is the case. I would just reset it and not worry about it.

Default tpms

you said you changed your wheels, but you don't say you changed your tpms sensors from inside your old wheels. did you do that?.

I am going to say no to this, as I ordered them from Discount Tire Direct and they mailed them to me. I am going to call them tomorrow and see if they put the sensors in. If not I will take the old tires and rims and take them to a local Discount Tire and let them change them out.

Thanks for the help

quick way to check would be to look at your valve stem and if there is a nut on the out side you have sensors installed if it looks like a normal valve stem then no sensor
