Default Warrior Cowl Guards..

Does anyone have these, if so how do you like them and how hard are they to install?

I am assuming you need a pop rivet gun?

Uhh, hellbound, those are kinda ugly. Your jk looks great right now. Somehow I don't think those would look good. But if you like um it's your jeep.

What is ugly about em? I like the tough body armor look and everything on my JK is either black or rescue green..

What about em bothers you?

Looks like a pop rivet. I had diamond plate stuff on my cj, and all it caused was more rust underneath.

Hmm I have the AEV corner guards and no rust so far..

I make sure I paint the holes after I drill em. Wouldn't that stop rust?

I guess it's the diamond plate, if the rest of your armor is not like that ,I think it would stand out.

Water and dirt finds its way between the armor and the sheet metal and sits there unless the armor is sealed around the edges. In a few years, if you aev guards aren't sealed, you'll see what I mean. Been there didn't seal it , presto rust.

Hell, I didn't seal mine so I really don't know what would be the best. If I got corner guards I'd probably use rtv. Lay a thin bead about 1/2in on the inside of the guard so it doesn't squish out so bad. Someone else may have a better solution though, maybe some type of rubber weather stripping.
