The new Smitty ones are not available yet, which seems to be the norm, I wouldn't expect them in before Summer. As well as the pricing is wrong on the back of the catalog. The 8k Waterproof is $549.99 and the 10k is $649.99.

I would never drive through water that is deeper than my winch as it is, so I am fine with a normal winch. I would get the 10K Smittybilt with Synthetic line, with the Lifetime Warranty and not have to worry about it.

I'll see you in about an hour. I'm leaving work here in a minute to head to 4wd Hardware. I appreciate everyone's input. I'll probably do what I do when i go out to a restaurant to eat.....have two or three choices in mind and decide at the last second.

That messed up. I had to drill on one for it. I got a 2010. You?

Yah that's BS. Mine's an 08 so I don't know why it'd be different. Mine lined up perfect to the existing holes. Its actually a pretty tight fit to the bumper too.

Well I got mine on with a little extra modification. I actually had to do the same for the bumper too. The holes were off about 1/4". It all worked out and the setup does kick ass. Good talking to you. Good luck with the winch search.

My bumper was a little squirrely too. I had to work hard to get one bolt in but once I got it in the rest went pretty easy. Ill let you know about the winch. The Xr10 was backordered so I went with the Xr8. Its supposed to be drop shipped to my house. I went w the lifetime warranty too. Thanks for everyones help.
