Default Weep holes for snorkel?

Got my snorkel installed yesterday (cutting the hood was a PITA and scary but I survived. Thank goodness for the surround piece or my masterpiece cut-job would have been on full display ). I sealed up literally every hole under the airbox and the snorkel was obviously hole-free. It's officially water tight!

But that got me wondering... should this system have weep holes? Just in case any water got in? Should I have left the little dinky hole in the airbox unsealed?

Looking for input from longtime snorkel users (here's looking at ya, ECHO ) and what you think about this. Thanks!

I wouldnt. Just incase you ever got stuck in water, the airbox would start filling up slowly.. You can either keep a small hand siphon, rag or take out the airbox-snorkel if you find water inside

I've got the AEV snorkel in my JK, had a similar design on my XJ, both were water tight, and I've wondered this myself. Especially when its absolutely pouring, water would HAVE to get in there right?? IDK, I've opened mine up and its always dry, I have no idea how.

Never in airbox or it is useless. It should be all sealed. Only spec holes on top to drain.
