Your not alone brother, I run 33" mt's for about a year now and never rotated them and am now experiencing noise from the front, so I'm gonna put the fronts in the rear.
Then I am probably an idiot, this Jeep being the first set of big tires I've ever owned - I've never rotated them. Can I switch the left & the right, to reverse out this problem? Can this type of tire be rotated in that way, or should I stick with front to back?
You CAN switch sides, but I've never recommended it. Today's modern tires are "SUPPOSED" to be able to cross sides, BUT I've still seen instances where seperation occurred. Could be the tire was gonna seperate anyway. I don't know. I would just stick with front to rear rotation and see if that helps. You might also check around your local tire stores and see if any of them offer tire "truing". It's an old school repair, but it WORKS. Kinda hard to find anyone who does it anymore. Don't worry when you see them start shaving some tread off. Believe it or not, truing a tire will extend the tread life by making it flat and round again.....that is IF you can find someone to do it. If not, just stick um on the rear.....and watch those rotations. I would recommend every 2500 to 3K for a standard M/T type mud tire. Seems like a lot, but tires ain't cheap.
Sorry for my tardy response, by the way.
