Welding help
Anyone know of a reputable shop or person that can weld on some c gussets for me? I live in portland maine. New England off road is very good but expensive. Anyone know some other shops or people up to the task in my area?
for labor ?? I have to get mine welded too I was given a price of like 250 labor
I bought synergy ball joints too cuz they damage them usually anyway , and besides might just as well replace factory junk ones anyway another 250 here in nh
labor only / like 500 I guess
more concerned of being done right though

The silly thing about getting gussets welded at shop is that you are paying them to do stuff anyone can do (remove wheels, shocks, coils, etc.). The actual welding takes maybe 20 minutes. We do them around here all the time while leaving the ball joints in and have yet to see someone have a ball joint issue after. If you are determined to not weld them in yourself, check Craigslist or the yellow pages for a mobile welder. At least you can get everything ready and all they have to do is drive to your house and burn them in.
Just got a quote for 5 hours shop time at $440 to weld upper and lower c gussets and replace upper and lower ball joints to synergy joints. Not including parts. I have the joints and gussets already. Thoughts on this?
Your money, your choice. $375 would get you some nice additional mods though.

If the person doing the welding will take it easy around the ball joints, you can leave them in. If you don't want to worry or plan to upgrade at that point, pull them.
That's all there is to it. Well, some spray paint after it's all done.
