Well a little better than stock GY, if staging on paved roads will be ok.

The rugged terrain is a step up from a highway tire. All terrains would be better.

I have the 285/70/17 BF Rugged Terrain T/A on my 2012 JKU .... Loooove them ....
My JKU is my daily driver .... city ...Highway .... And these tires are whisper quiet .
They perform beautifully on soft sand (dunes) and on trails and dirt .

They are the equivalent of Bridgestone Desert Dueler A/T ... Or the Pirelli Scorpion A/T ... Which are 2 tires that I previously had on my YJ and performed flawlessly for my kind of usage .

Bottom line : I definitely recommend this tire if you do not absolutely need mud tires .... or any other tire with a more aggressive tread.

Remember this fact : The more aggressive your tire, the louder it is on pavement.
