Default What is the best way to get rid of front rake?

I purchased my JK with a dealer installed 3" pro comp lift and a wheel and tire package. It has always had this rake and after a few forum members suggested I fix it, I think it is a good idea. Especially if I get an aftermarket steel bumper which will add weight to the front. I need advice on the best way to get rid of the rake. Can I do it with my existing setup or do I need to use a spacer of some sort? Any do it yourself solutions would be great. thanks.

Ben

3/4" in spacers in the front. I would yank the coils and put in some old man emu HD coils in as a replacement for those prosucks coils.

$165.00

try a levelling kit from like teraflex or what ever suspension brand you prefer.
they are decently priced!

I used a 1" teraflex coil spacer with mine. It came out pretty close to level

If you want your Jeep level today, but plan on adding heavy bumpers, winches, etc, in the future you run the risk of getting a rake again...

One upgrade I've considered is the JKS ACOS.

It's kind of like an adjustable leveling kit. Put it on now (with some pucks in the rear) and tune it 'till it levels, and in the future as you need to increase it's lift you can re-adjust it.

I've never used one myself, but it just sounds cool

Or put them in the back as well like I "plan" on doing. Then you have ALL KINDS of adjustment.....

That is an awesome recommendation, seems so obvious now.

Thanks a lot, you just made my wise list even more expensive

If you remove the rake, you run a risk of further reducing your MPG. Some have said it can be -1MPG or more.

With that said, you may have lost all that due to the 3" lift.

Best of luck...

That looks pretty good man. I wonder if I need to install the heavier bumpers first and then determine how much it needs to be leveled rather then doing it now and then possibly having to adjust twice.

Here's another option. They're a little pricey but they are adjustable.
