Default What to consider

What are things I need to know and consider when lifting and adding bigger tires to my jeep? I want a 4" lift and 35's. I've heard people say I will need to get a smaller drive shaft, re gear, etc. I have only looked at rough country lifts. I have an 07 unlimited Sahara. What are some good lifts? This is my daily driver also. I go off roading here and there. It's pretty flat here so no crawling, mainly mudding and the occasional small hill to play on in the woods. School me please. Tell me everything I need to know. Thanks

If you look at the FAQ at the top of the page their is lots of great info as to what you need to run a certain size of tire

A good starting point is knowing what size tire you want to run. You already know that you want to run a 35 so thats good. You dont need a lot of lift to run 35s on these Jks the higher you go the more time, money and work needs to be put into it. With that being said 4" is a lot of lift to run 35s and is basicaly uneeded. You want to keep your lift as low as possible to avoid driveline and steering issues. For 35s you can run as little as a leveling kit and cut fenders to as much as 3" of lift with no problem. I run 35s with a 2.5" lift and flat fenders and have a ton of room. As far as brand goes its up to you but I have experience with both rough country lifts and teraflex lifts so what I wil say is this. Rough country is affordable with great customer service (you will need it) and teraflex is a little more costly (higher quality parts) and has good customer service. Good luck

Read the FAQ and spend some time looking through forum...once you do that, start asking any unanswered questions.
