I am a 47-year-old owner of a financial planning business. For my personal clients, I manage about $125 million in investments and $300 million in life insurance.

On the side, I am developing a professional office real estate project with 2 partners. When it is completed, we will have about 33k sq ft, spread across 4 buildings.

This allows me to afford to be an adjunct professor of finance at our local 4-year liberal arts college. I give back a good amount of what they pay me for their endowment fund. I lose about 150 hours per year in my financial planning business that is instead allocated to teaching a course every Spring semester.

All this also allows me to be a weekend hobbyist and mechanic on our family jeeps, and an over-analytical jeep forum poster.

I'm 25 years old, I'm an outside account manager with an electrical distributor. I sell and close deals and jobs between 10,000 and 2.5 million. I'm paid 15% commission on gross profit dollars. I only use my credit card if I have that dollar amount in my checking account. I use the ccard bc it allows me to get cash back. Make your money work for you, don't gamble and don't buy more than you can pay in 30 days. All there is to it.

I have so many damn money sucking hobbies its ridiculous - guitars, guns, Japanese cutlery, Lionel trains, bicycles, milkshakes, sim racing, RC trucks/boats and others my wife is sure to remind me of. However, anything that blows a hole in the ozone is usually my primary, and with that I choose what best suits my disposable income. For example, when my gross income was cut by roughly 12.5% earlier this year , I sold this..

I work at Agility fuel systems. I have a wonderful wife who has all the finances figured out. I don't make much and have some debt but I've managed to buy some stuff for the heep, pay the bills and go to Hawaii 2 in the last 4 yrs.

I have had a LOT of help from my family.

Sweet. You make the beer, I make the bottles, and the rest of the jeeple here keeps us in business. (Just make sure you use "Anchor" bottles. Better quality than "Ardagh" or "OI"
