i just got a automatic unlimited, and realize its much differnt the my 2dr. six speed. So my question is what do i need to get the auto. ready to offroad with? Transmission coolent or other part?

Not sure what you are looking for but you really do not need to do anything to the transmission before off roading.

Default i took it out the other day

I took out the other day and was running 4l at ok rpm, trying to get a snow hill, and got out and it smell weird, like the transmission was getting hot. So my question what can i do to fix that?

A $40 transmission cooler and about an hour of your time.

If u have a 2007 model search for the auto trans, they had problems with them overheating.

All the autos have had issues with overheating. The auto in my 2010 overheated the first time I took it off the pavement.

B&M cooler is in the garage waiting to be installed the first chance I get.
