What perf. mods really work....
I put a stage 1 jet didn't notice any differance. Then i added the afe air intake and that made a huge differance. Don't know if it was the two combined or just the intake but it accelarates much better and the miledge went up.
I put the K&N drop in and a Borla Cat-back at the same time. There is a better throttle response, and mid-range, not a huge difference, but noticible! I had an air-raid by itself, felt a slight difference, but I wanted the extra water clearance
Look for my post, but I do notice having a little bit extra after I put on the Airaid CAI.
I would bet that any CAI would work, but I went with Airaid because they had dyno results on their website, (whether to believe them or not, I don't know....and no, I have no affiliation with the company.)
I am planning on getting the Cooltech exhaust at some time.
I might get the Jet stage one chip, but I will save this for last, in case something else better comes along-I don't want to run premium gas.
Short of these, I think you are stuck unless you want to sink some big $$ into a supercharger or a hemi swap.
I am not convinced that a throttle body spacer makes any difference.

I noticed the most difference replacing the keg sized muffler with the relocated Magnaflow muffler (like the Cooltech kit, but it only cost me $100). I did already have an AiraidCai on it, so that help, but the new muffler woke the JK up and it's not much louder than stock.

Hye BlackRubi, sometime we should put a JK meet together and before I go buying the Magnaflow I would like to hear it. There is anotehr JK'er in Woodstock and experiencing or seeing differ mods helps in decision making.

BTW, I just returned from a 400 mi road trip. Before any mods I was getting a lttle over 22mpg (actual, not computer silliness.) Look below for all of the weight I've added to it, plus hauling 5 Rubicon wheels/tires (reason for the road trip) and I still hit 22 mpg (actual.) I've got to think that CoolTech had a hand in that.
