I'm leaning towards painting the Bushwacker's black for my black JK. Anyone know when these are even going to hit market????

I like the Bushwackers on the red Unlimited they are advertising them on.

I'm sure you all have looked at the SEMA pics in the gallery but for those looking at the bushwackers when I seen there red unlimited in the adds I thought they looked nice but seeing them in some of the pics from the SEMA show IMO they look WAY TO WIDE. in some of those pics they look like there atleast 1 foot wide and IMO look funny. I'll stick with the stock or something like mentioned above about the orange AEV jeep....

I would hope that the Bushwacker fenders were just a mock up they did before they actually had a JK to measure and not the production version. If you look at the SEMA pics they are like a foot wider then the stock fenders, they block the hood release, and they stick out several inches past the grill. Granted, the stock ones stick out past the grill but from the pictures it looks like the Bushwackers are even worse, I would like to see a set that is flush with the grill because with the after market bumpers they just don’t look right sticking out like that.

On a different note, I was talking to friend in Oregon and he got a ticket in his YJ for having tires that stick out more then 3” (and speeding). Jeeps have always been known for having their tires stick out past the flairs, I wonder if the feds finally told Jeep "no more, cover the tires on the new design” It might explain why they are so damn big.

I'm prety sure that is what they are. I think that all of the Bushwacker "pocket style" flares have always been a little larger than stock in EVERY direction...

IMHO, the body painted fenders on a silver Sahara make the JK look rather upscale and more in proportion considering the width. Now if only the front fenders came all the way down to the bumper (instead of that 4 inch gap), like the rear fenders come down all the way to the bumper.

That might just make them look bigger and not that great if you go with a stubby bumper. However, I do like the fabfour bumper look that has the bumper come up to the flares.

You mean like the exports? Well I guess the bumper is really coming up to the fender.
