Default What should I do??????

I am going to have a lift installed but am unsure which to do. I live in southwest VA where the pickins are slim as far as off road shops go. My local shop does a lot of BDS lifts and not much else. Other option is ti drive 2 hours away to Charlotte and have my pick of lifts(Full traction is the other lift im looking at).....only problem is that my JK is my DD so if I have any issues with lift or need work done then I may have to drive the 2 hours to Charlotte. What would you guys do? I probly wont do a ton of wheeling either, very minimal(too busy) Any advice would be great

Read the JK-Forums. Ask questions and find out what you need to buy. Order the products from a JK-Forum vendor. Buy a case of beer and invite you buddies over for an instalation party. Enjoy your lift.

x2. I'm sure there are plenty of people on JK-Forum who would be willing to help, too.

A lift isn't hard to do at all. I put mine on by myself using the Project JK tutorial. I had never done anything more advanced then an oil change prior to it and it went on fine

Its RPM Off Road. They insist that a BDS is the lift for me. I dont think they do a lot of lifts from what I can tell. I live in Abingdon BTW.

Have you looked at the BDS line-up? And have they? The 2" is just coil spacers, nothing to it. The 3" is coils and CAM Bolts. The 4.5" has a bunch of fixed arms and brackets. BDS may be good for other vehicles, but kinda comes up short for JK lifts.

As others have mentioned, if you have the time, you should consider installing yourself. If you want to have that shop do it for you, at least look into other mfg's offerings. I'm sure you could talk that shop into installing another brand.
