this will give you some idea of how much the 285's stick out.

I am guessing you are going to use your stock rims as well. The wider 305 may rub lock to lock in the front end on tight turns. If you go wider you may need spacers on your stock rims to avoid rubbing. I believe the narrower tire 285's will be okay with out spacers.

Also, the 33 inch tall tire is the max you should go especially stock suspension. Also, check out the Search option on the site...you should get lots of information on tire sizes, lift sizes and spacers. Welcome to the forum

In fact I will put on Pro comp wheels 16''x8'' 4'' BS. So 305 should be ok?

Did some one have a 305 picture on 16''?

Thanks for answer

This is mine with 285/75R16 on 16x8's with 4" b.s. I stick out about 3/8" past the flares.

Hey Zoso, would you happen to have a perfectly lateral pic of your friend's ride? I'm installing a 3.5" lift and I'm thinking the 33x12.50x15 I'm going to install will look too small on my 4door JK.

You should have worries with rubbing with the 4" backspacing lock to lock. The wider the tire the more it will stick outside the stock flares. You should check into the Highway's act in your province what you are allowed for tires sticking outside the flares. I run a 4.5" BS aftermarket rim but have a 33x12.50R10 Cooper STT and they stick out about 1/2" outside the Stock Fenders.

If your tires stick outside the stock flares you will be rubbing on your flares with the wider tire in more extreme off-road flexing and thus a reason many get a Lift.

Do people with the 305 or wider tire have problems with road junk kicking up on the highway and finding its way into the vehicle. I run no doors for about 6 months so that would be a concern if I had passengers in the back seat.
