On my unlimited I run doorless at times and have about 1/2" of tire sticking outside of the fenders. You do get some mud or water sprayed onto the B-pillar and back door frame but you don't get alot. I have my kids in booster seats and they not been hit by any debris. However, I do have the Step rails which helps out as well for water spray, mud & rocks flinging out.

I have not run doorless on the highways around here...just around town and trails...as I like to have the doors on when big semi's pass me and adds alittle more security for my kids at those faster speeds and just be warned strap down your floor mats in the back they like to have some lift off!!!.

thanks tripple jeep...When my lift and tires get here I was concerned about trashing the inside of my jk with mud, rocks and water on the trails and on the road. Maybe I should have went with the 285's? Oh welll I guess this will have to do.

The mud is easy to clean off and no damage to the paint. Rocks I have yet to get hit on the B-Pillar....99% of the time they hit under the flare, or frame or shoot out away from the jeep. if you are worried about the sand blasting....just add some 3M clear tape to the Pillars. On your Painted flares just add the 3M clear tape.... I did this to my rear fender flares just by adding the 3M tape to the front portion of the rear flare and it has protected the flares really nicely from sand, gravel!

Acually the 285/75/16 is 32.83 Height and 11.22 width.

The 305/75/16 is 34.01 height and 12.01 width.

3/4" wider and almost 1 1/4" taller
