stacey david (the host of TRUCKS! and gearz) made mickey thompson baja radial mtz's sound really good, and a guy at work has had a couple sets of bfg mud terrains, forgot to mention that noise level on highway is a factor as well

I live in RI and chose the MTZs 35s... Good on road tire and great grip when goin off road. Will hold a bead at 15psi with no issues. Also as far as 35s go they are pretty lightweight 68lbs per, before this I was runnin 33s which weighed 64lbs.
Only neg. is they are a skinner 12.5 tire (which is why they weigh less)

I had MTZ's on my last Jeep. They hold up well on the road.
They do roar a little, but I liked that.

the narrowness is ok, now running stock rims and 1.5" spacers with 12.5s... when looking at it from behind how far out will they stick? i see other jeeps in my area that the tires are 4" out past the fender and it looks terrible! it wont do that right?

BFG KM2's get my vote. The noise level is low for a M/T and handle well in the rain. They're one of the lightest M/T's on the market but the measurments run a little smaller than other brands the same size.

For snow you should get a smaller tire. Like a 35x10.50(instead of a 35x12.50) or an extra set of snow tires

Super Swamper SSR.

Good tires. I've had the 33's and 37's on my YJ.
