What can be just to keep the jam nut from coming loose on the track bar and adjustable control arms but somewhat easy to remove if need be.

I tried to edit the above but it wouldn't work. I saw off road evo had locking jam nuts, check their website.

Why would you need it to be easy to remove?

One of those just in case. I had read somewhere about a product that was like a silocone that was use on jam nuts on baja truck. It was put on after the jam nut was tighten so the jam nut would not break loose on the while racing.

I had seen the ORE jam nuts before but they had not released them at that time. Def going to look into it.

Thanks for the info.

Amazing Goop Automotive is used by Baja Racing teams. My brother races Class 7 trucks and swears by it. I applied it when I installed my lift about 8 months ago. Have not had one jam nut loosten. It is relatively easy to remove if needed.

I get it at NAPA, they usually have it in stock, hanging in a bubble pack.

To apply, tighten the jam nut as normal. Afterwards, apply a glob of Goop where the nut and exposed threads are. This keeps the nut from backing off. It dries semi-hard but can be removed with pliers.

Thats a pretty good idea. I could see how it could be easily ripped off,but provide enough strength to prevent loosening.

I just use plenty of red loctite and crank the shit out if it! I've never had one come loose.
