Default Wheel Help...last time :)

I am going with an 18 x 9 wheel ( yes, I am aware of tire cost). My question is the vendor claims I can get the wheel with 5.0 or 5.5 BS. I live in PA so need to keep the tires under the fenders as much as possible ( not supposed to stick out at all). I am going to run 285 70R 18 tires. I have a 2011 Rubicon. Am I safe to go with the 5.5 BS or will I have clearance/rubbing issues? Is it safer to go with the 5.0? Keep in mind I want the tires under the fender as much as possible. If i were to go with the 5.5 on the wider 9" wheel with 285s how much could I expect the tires to stick out from the fenders? Sorry for asking but I went to two tires shops in my area that were no help at all. I dont think they knew how to spell JEEP. Thanks in advance for your help.

Check out the wheels that AEV offers They have the backspacing your looking for to run that tire size without coming out of the fenders.

Default wheel help

I think I've come to the conclusion my tires will stick out some based on the wheels I want. My real question is 5.0 or can I get away with 5.5 BS?

AEV is 5.2 BS. If you use 5.5 just remove the front air dam and you should be good. If not you can always add a washer or 2 to the steering stops.
