Default wheel question?

If I am currently running a 285/70R17.. would I be able to go to a 37x12.5 17.. or is that too wide for my wheel..
thanks,
Brian

you will most likely be fine with a 12.50 width tire... I have the 17x8 with 35/12.50/17 BFG KM2's and it looks great ... Some will rightfully point out that the manufacturer on that tire recommends at least an 8.5" rim so I'm slightly under their specs... I certainly wouldn't go any wider tire size, i.e. 13.50 without knowing you have a 9 or 10 inch wheel width

looked at your previous post on your wheels and it was answered.... they are the Helo 842 Gloss Black Machined 17x8 4.5 backspacing... so you will be OK with a 12.50 width.. if you want to know the pros and cons of 8 vs. 9 inch wheel there are plenty of threads with the debate back and forth on them
