Like said before 17s will give you more options, especially when your ready to step up to 37s!

I would think you'd also save weight w the 16"? I have 17" steelies on 33" now, and was thinking of going to a 16" black aluminum when I go 35s.

For an increase/decrease in radius of just 0.5" , there can't be a noticeable difference.
The weights of more tire & less rim, more or less equal each other anyway.

Something is sticking in the back of my mind about the 16" 7069s not being suitable for newer years because of brake clearance (I think it was). You might want to double check that.

As long as you don't have too much backspacing, I don't think you'll have trouble with 16's

Backspacing is 4", as per the mfg web page... Don't I need at least 4.5"?

Less backspacing the more they stick out and more clearance you get. You want 4.5" MAX BS. 4" should be fine. Ie 4" sticks out more than 4.5"
