Default Wheel spacer thickness??

I am planning on adding wheel spacers to my 08 JK Rubicon Unlimited in the near future. What is the narrowest/thinnest thickness I can go without trimming the wheel studs? Also, what sizes are available? I plan to use either Spidertracs or TereFlex for safety. I only do mild off-roading.

1.5"

Spidertrax are the only model I would run.

1.5 seems like alot. With factory wheels and tires, will they extend beyond the flares?

1.5 is perfect. Click on my photo link, I used to have them and there are some photos in there. They don't extend beyond the flares, but they give the Jeep a real nice stance.

Thanks! Did it add any stability while on the road?

A lil' bit.

You can run a 1.25" spacer just fine, and the tires will stay tucked under the fenders. Spidertrax are not the only people to make a quality spacer.

1.5's are perfect, over a year and 25,000 miles- no issues...

Spider trax 1.5 on stock wheels with 35's for 20,000 miles , spidertrax on 35's with crager soft 8's for 5000 miles, 25,000 miles, no probs with the spacers.

Spidertrax only makes a 1.5 spacer for the JK. I will use those if you really think that the tires will not extend pass the flares. I measured it, and it sure looked like it would.

P.S. Who makes a quality 1.25 spacer?

if you run 1.25" spacers, you will NEED to grind your wheel studs down a bit. i personally would recommend 1.5" spacers.
