Default Wheel Spacers on 35s???

I have an OME 2.5 HD lift on a 2012 Rubicon.
When I got it I was thinking I was going to put 33s on it. I've changed my mind I'm going to go 35s. I would like to put the 35s on my stock rims. I'm pretty sure that I will need spacers to do that. Is this a bad idea? Is there anything else that I'm not seeing that will need to do.

Its perfectly fine. I have a 3.25 lift with stock tons on 315/70R17 and I wheel it often.

Yeah you're good to go. I also have 315's on 1.5 spacers that see regular abuse and hold up great.

I have been using the Spidertrax spacers for a few years with my 35s without any problems.

I had to use them because with the OEM 17in Rubi wheels the tires were rubbing on the frame. If you change the OEM rims for a model with adequate backspace the spacers will not be needed.

depending on the width of the tire you went with, you might have had to run spacers with 33's as well.

I want 35s but I am not see how it is possible. I have the OEM tires and wheels 31s. I was under the belief that if I got this lift I could do 35s and that was a big selling point.

12jkb, you are going to have to trim the rail and probably the pinch weld behind it
