Default Wheel spacers needed?

I plan on going with AEV 3.5" kit, Nitto terra grappler 325/65/18 mounted on pro comp 7005 wheel. The backspacing on 18" wheel is 5". I have read that 4.5" is recommended. If I go with 18" wheel is a spacer needed?

You should be able to get the wheel with a 4.5" backspacing unless you already bought the wheels.

Spacers, wheels with less backspace, or ... don't turn. You have options.

Just curious, what wheel backspace is optimum for a JK with 35" tires?

You have a Teraflex coil lift?

TF's recommendation:
This kit will allow you to run up to a 35” tire (aftermarket wheels with 4.5” backspacing or less are required).
Or the faq's at the top of this modified area:
Q: What back spacing will I need on my wheels in order to clear 12.50 wide tires?
A: I would recommend that you do not exceed 4.75" of back spacing and even at that, you may still have some minor rubbing up front at a full turn. Also, I would recommend that you do not go any less than 3.75" as anything less would cause your tires to stick out very far past the fender flares. Any back spacing within this range should work out great.

If I had it to do over, I would go with 3.5" backspacing. That way when you realize that you need 37's you are good to go. Plus, I did get some rub on my sway bar and my lower control arms with 4.5" and 35" km2's. It was minimal but there nonetheless.
